No. Your funds always stay in your own Binance account or MT5 broker account. Binance copying uses an API Key with “Trading” permission only (never tick “Withdrawal”); an MT5 trading password can only trade, and deposits and withdrawals are handled in your broker’s client portal. The platform can only place orders in your account and cannot move assets away. See Security.
API Keys, MT5 trading passwords and MetaApi tokens are all stored encrypted, never in plain text. You can remove a connection on the platform at any time, or revoke the API Key on Binance or change the password at your broker, and the platform’s permission to trade ends immediately.
Nothing happens to it. Your assets have always been in your own account; there would just be no further copy orders, and you would manage any open positions yourself on the exchange or in your MT5 client.
A lead account that trades real money. Every open, add, reduction and close, whether it comes from a strategy, a manual order or a limit order, is copied to your account at the ratio you set. Simulated accounts can also be listed, but can only be copied by simulated accounts and are clearly marked.
Order timing and slippage, capital size (after scaling down, some orders may fall below the minimum order size), your own risk limits triggering first, and fees and funding rates all cause differences, and sometimes not small ones. This is true of every copy trading product, and we choose to tell you so plainly.
Not by default. You only copy positions the lead account opens after you start, so you do not step in at a price where the lead already has a floating profit or loss.
By return ÷ max drawdown, not by return. Ranked by return, the top spot usually goes to the account with the most leverage that simply has not been liquidated yet.
Each lead account shows its minimum capital requirement. Below it, orders scaled down in proportion would fall under the exchange’s or broker’s minimum order size and none could be placed, so the platform refuses outright rather than charging you and leaving you watching an empty account.
Yes, but one copy account can follow only one lead trader at a time. To follow several, prepare a separate account for each copy (on Binance you can use sub-accounts).
A dedicated Binance futures account (a sub-account is recommended) that holds no positions when copying starts; the platform switches it to hedge mode. Then create an API Key with “Trading” permission only and connect it to the platform.
An MT5 account opened with the same broker as the lead account, the account’s trading password (a read-only investor password cannot place orders), and your own MetaApi access token. The specific requirements for the FX strategy are on the FX Strategies page.
Not at the moment. Copying happens only within the same kind of venue: Binance lead accounts are copied by Binance accounts, and MT5 lead accounts by MT5 accounts.
No. These strategies trade derivative contracts on Binance. You do not hold real shares or physical metal, and have no shareholder rights, dividends or physical delivery.
Rates are set by the platform and lead traders cannot set their own prices. Depending on your region, one of two models applies: a monthly subscription fee based on your copy capital, or a revenue share on profit above the high-water mark. The specific rates are on each product page, and after signing in you can see the rate that applies to you on the copy confirmation page.
The highest point your equity for this copy has ever reached. Under a revenue share, a share is charged only on the part by which equity rises above that peak; the stretch of “getting back to even” after a loss is not charged. Money you deposit yourself is not treated as profit.
Your first copy has a free period, with the number of days shown on the copy confirmation page, and we will email you before it ends.
Pay in USDT (BEP20 network). If a bill becomes overdue, the copy first switches to “close only”: existing positions continue to be managed but no new positions are opened. If it is still unpaid after the grace period, the copy ends.
Fees for a period in which the service has already been provided are generally not refunded. If you find a duplicate charge or a billing error, write to [email protected] within 30 days of the bill being issued and we will check each case.
No. Trading fees, funding rates, spreads and on-chain fees are charged by the exchange, the broker or the blockchain network.
Yes. Every strategy has drawdowns, and leveraged futures and FX trading can be liquidated in extreme markets and lose capital. A lead account’s past performance does not indicate future returns. Only commit money you can afford to lose.
Yes. Every copy can have a position cap, max leverage, daily loss limit, max drawdown and cooling-off period, and copying stops automatically when one is hit. If your region has a stricter leverage cap, the stricter one applies. Note that when the market gaps or liquidity is thin, a limit may not execute at the set price.
Liquidation is triggered by the exchange’s or broker’s margin rules, the platform cannot intervene, and it will not reopen positions for you. That is exactly why we recommend setting a max drawdown and checking the lead account’s historical drawdown first.
Stop at any time in “My copies” in the Copy Centre, and choose whether to close this copy’s positions at the same time. After you stop, the platform places no new orders for you.
Yes. Submit a lead trader application in the Copy Centre. Once approved, connect an account in the QuantForges Trader Terminal (Binance) or the QuantForges MT5 Terminal, build a track record, and submit for listing when you reach the listing requirements. See the Trader Programme.
The fees copiers pay are shared with the lead trader at a ratio the platform sets, and lead traders do not set their own prices. If your region does not allow charging a profit share, your lead account is open only to copiers who pay by subscription fee.
No. A lead trader sees only the number of copiers and a summary of their own income, not copiers’ identities or account information.
